Baked tomatoes
This delicious appetizer will surprise you with its deep and intense flavors. Serve it with crackers and your favorite fresh goat cheese.

Ingredients:
- 1 baguette, thinly sliced crosswise, toasted into crostini
- 200 grams goat cheese
- 4 tbsp fresh basil
- 4 garlic cloves
- pepper
- salt
- 1.5 tbsp sugar
- 1.5 tbsp dry origano
- 1 large can of diced tomatoes
- 0.66 cup olive oil
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven at 350°F.
- In a baking dish, combine the olive oil, tomatoes, origano, sugar, salt, and pepper.
- Bake 3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
- After 3 hours, verify that tomatoes are deep red and that water evaporated. You could need to bake a little longer (up to 30 min).
- Remove from oven.
- Add the freshly crushed garlic when still hot.
- Let cool down to room temperature.
- Add fresh basil.
- Serve with goat cheese and crostini.
