Apple Pie

Delicious apple pie to share with your loved ones.

Ingredients:

  • 0.5 lemon
  • 2 tbsp corn starch
  • 0.25 cup sugar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 6 Honeycrisp apples
  • 2 MacIntosh apples
  • 1 box Irresistible Frozen Butter Puff Pastry (450 g)

Instructions:

  1. Three hours before starting, remove the butter puff pastry from the freezer.
  2. Preheat the oven at 400°F.
  3. Grease a 9-inch pie plate.
  4. Peel, core, and slice the apples.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, corn starch, and lemon juice. Toss to coat the apples evenly.
  6. Carefully transfer one dough to the pie plate abd trim the edges of the crust.
  7. Pour the apple filling into the pie crust. It should be really full.
  8. Add the remaining pie dough onto the pie.
  9. Fold the sides under to seal the pie crust.
  10. Use a sharp knife to cut vents in the crust.
  11. Place the pie on a baking sheet to catch any drips.
  12. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling. If the crust browns too quickly, cover the edges with strips of aluminum foil.
  13. Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack before slicing and serving. This allows the filling to set properly.
